We have been advised by the Duchy that there is a planned power outage at New Barn this afternoon while National Grid carry our maintenance.

New Barn hosts our central equipment and the primary network connection to the internet. The equipment is protected by an Uninterruptible Power Supply with a battery back up that is scaled to allow for 4 hours of operation in the event of a loss of power.

We therefore do not believe that this maintenance will affect customer services but do need to advise customers that the network will be "at risk" for the duration of the maintenance as it will be operating without a primary power supply.

The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
